What is the biggest mess your child has ever made in the kitchen??
One night, around 1:30 AM, my daughter woke me up with a very chipper "Mommy, come look!" I, still half asleep, got up and followed her into the kitchen. I found the light on, the oven turned on with dry cake batter poured into the cupcake pan, the fridge open, a dozen eggs cracked into a bowl on top of the stove, my sink plugged & overflowing onto the floor, and the filter holder to the coffee pot on the burner--turned on.
She said "Look Mommy! I made you and Daddy breakfast!"
I was speechless for several minutes, as I turned off everything that was on and put her BACK in her bed. I didn't get much sleep that night.
Waking up and finding my whole refrigerator empty on the floor. Eggs, milk, ketchup, mustard you name it it was every where. From my kitchen to dining room into my living room, onto my furniture. The mixer plugged in, in the dogs water dish. Iron on the floor plugged in, on. When I picked up the iron the floor came up. All my cabinets empty on the floor. Sugar, flour, cereal you name it was spilled all over. We did major cleaning that day. Made a gate from plywood that day. The gate was up to my chest. The next day, I woke up to the same thing. The joys of living with ADHD. He was 2 at the time.
