How many cups of water to 1 cup of rice when using a rice cooker?

Is it 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice or 1 cup of water for 1 cup of rice? I've been using 1 cup water and 1 cup of rice but my rice turns out crunchy.

You have to use 2 cups . Also you can add a little bit of oil so the rice doesn't stick
